APODIO NEW VERSION IS AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW ON SOURCEFORGE!!!!
We developed this version 6-Beta under a 3 days collective session with a team of different people from the organisation apo33, labomedia, crealab, ping, fdl…etc.
thanks to Benjamin, Olivier, JulienB, Jean-François, Thomas, Dominique, Jenny and JulienO!!!
This version is based on Ubuntu Jaunty. It follow most of the stable software available version and updates of the distribution, it have known issues from Jaunty, strange behaviour with Network gnome applet for example, also drivers for Nvidia cards and ATI are present on the dvd but need to be installed if you may want to use. There is some openGL trouble with intel graphical cards.
We are still looking for solutions for those issues, please help us to improve this version 6, send us feedback and ideas. A version 7 should be released depending the Ubuntu 9.10-karmic stability or not. We will test an update in december/january.

I am already looking for little bugs that are linked to ubuntu’s jaunty distro in general
-kernel -> sound – pd & jack –> intel sound card
-graphical xinerama nvidia (problem with mouse and dual screen)
-network gnome management (strange behaviour with wifi)
I am looking for solution for those 3 aspects if anyone want to help
cheers

on a virtualized machine i can’t help you very much with these problems.
i tried jack outputting to oss but i get some glitches in sound output.
host system is a windghdfows xp64 so this is perhaps the cause of the problem.
one thing i have to do is upgrade pd’s gem to last version.
my patches don’t work for the moment because of that i think
what’s the good way of doing that? but this is perhaps more a question for pdlist.
by the way nice perf in bergen !

here we go:
sudo dpkg –get-selections
what is your soundcard?
I think updating GEM should not be a problem.
did you made it?
cheers
