When I try to play a movie trailer from Apple Trailer’s website the frame keeps black and shows the words ‘No video’.
I’ve seen that all needed codecs and plugins for Firefox are installed with support for quicktime movies and I saw it working in another distros with the same plugins, so…
what happens?
Surfing Ubuntu forums I’ve discovered it was an Apple attack to linux users… they not only didn’t create a quicktime version for linux but they changed their web for not allow to play video if quicktime is not present… afortunately some people gave a solution to deceive Apple just changing the user agent in Firefox from the add-on “user agent switcher”.
hi there
it is my first try at linux-like os
i downloaded it to use fluxus
(cause first the windows version is not working that great , and my mac is too old)
so it boots ,
first question , my screen size is real fat , how can i change the screen resolution (is it a line in the terminal or is there a icon to click somewhere?)
and where can i check if my grafic card is working good?
(it s a nvidia quadro nvs 160m , i m on a dell latitude e6500)
and then how to run fluxus?
if i click on the icon it just doesn t work
so maybe i should start it from the terminal (like it works on windows) or is it because my videocard doesn t work?
sorry for the newbee questions
thanks
L.K.
fluxus use opengl, on this version you will need to have a nvidia graphical cards in order to use it.
cheers
Hello,
I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice about Apodio 7.04…I cannot get jack to work without xruns to a large degree as soon as I start it up. I have an Audigy Z2 sound card and a fast dual core pentium with 2 GB ram. I noticed the Apodio kernel is not realtime, and I was wondering why that is..thanks
well what is your soundcard?
you could also run jack without xrun, look at the setup
tell us more ? did you make it work?
