<h2><a id="installation" name="installation">DOWNLOAD &amp; BOOT AS LIVE DVD:</a></h2>
<p>1- In order to run apodio, you will need a dvd-rom in your computer.</p>
<p>2-download and burn the latest apodio image (iso) in download section</p>
<p>3-put the dvd-r in you dvd-rom</p>
<p>4-reboot your machine</p>
<p>5- when the computer there is almost 3 situations that you will face:</p>
<p>1) it boots, nothing to do, just follow the whole process and wait for the apodio graphical interface</p>
<p>2) it doesn&#8217;t boot, it goes to your usual Operating system, then reboot again and enter <a href="http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000192.htm">BIOS</a> and change the boot section in order to have your dvd-rom as first boot device</p>
<p>3) you have a macIntel, then when you reboot (and your hear the tlung) press the &#8220;c&#8221; on your keyboard until you&#8217;ll see apodio boot</p>

<p>1- click system&#8211;&gt;administration&#8211;&gt;install<br />
2-follow the instruction ( problem? check out this <a href="http://www.howtoforge.com/the-perfect-desktop-ubuntu-8.04-lts-hardy-heron">official ubuntu documentation</a> )</p>

<p><strong>APODIO can be installed on a Linux partition of at least 4 Gb (ext2, ext3) but it does not need to be installed on a hard disk (LiveCD/DVD)</strong></div>
<h3><a id="its_minimal_requirements_are" name="its_minimal_requirements_are">Its minimal requirements are:</a></h3>

<div>a 750 Mhz Pentium type processor</div>

<div>512 Mb of RAM</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>a standard graphic card but the best for video &amp; 3D are actually nvidia</div>

<div>a 1024 x 768 pixels screen</div>
</li>
<li>

<div>a DVD player</div>

<div>a PS or USB mouse</div>

<p><strong>Try the liveCD/DVD ! if it works as liveCD/DVD, you can safely install it on your hard disk ! </strong></div>
